FREMONT, Ohio – The Joe Nickloy team from Pioneer, Ohio completed 1, 361 total laps to claim the $1,000 payday for the 12 hours of Fremont Speedway Presented by Gill Construction Enduro Saturday, Sept. 27.
The first ever 12-hour endure race at “The Track That Action Built” saw three 2.5 hour racing segments with half hour breaks in between. The final segment was 3 hours long and the three drivers of the Nickloy team registered a total of 1,361 laps around the third-mile oval.
The Matt Merrill team finished second with 1,344 total laps and the Sheldon Arndt team came home third with 1,324 total laps.
“We had four flat tires today so this win goes to my crew…they worked their tails off,” said Joe Nickloy.
Fremont Speedway will wrap up the 2025 racing season on Friday, Oct. 10 with the Burmeister Trophy Dirt Trucks battling the stock cars as part of the Showdown Series. The racing is part of the fall fest at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds.
