Fremont Speedway Fueled by FriendShip Unveils Historic 75th Anniversary Season Schedule for 2026
FREMONT, OH — “The Track That Action Built” is preparing for its most monumental season yet. Fremont Speedway, fueled by FriendShip Kitchen, is proud to announce its 2026 racing schedule, a diamond anniversary celebration marking 75 years of dirt track excellence at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds.
The 2026 campaign features a blend of traditional favorites, national touring events, and a "Decades" theme that honors the legends who built the legacy of Fremont Speedway Fueled by FriendShip Kitchen.
“We are working together with all the tracks who run 410 sprints weekly to ensure better participation across the state,” said Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer.
To celebrate 75 years, several events will take fans on a journey through time, featuring autograph sessions and special tributes:
April 18: Remembering the 50’s (Scouting of America Night)
April 25: Remembering the 60’s (Fan Favorite Night)
May 9: Remembering the 70’s (Adopt a Legend Night & Autograph Signing)
May 30: Remembering the 80’s (Turf Wars: Fremont vs. Wayne County Speedway)
July 4: Remembering the 90’s (Celebrate America Night with FREE Camping)
July 25: Remembering the 2000’s (75 Years of Winning Night)
August 1: Remembering the 2010’s (First Responders Night)
Farmer noted the Turf Wars will involve inviting the weekly Wayne County Speedway 410 sprints to Fremont when Wayne County does not have them in competition and for Fremont Speedway teams to go to Wayne County when Fremont does not have them in competition.
Highlighting the "Remembering the 2010's" celebration on Aug. 1, Fremont Speedway is thrilled for the return of the fan-favorite School Bus Races. In addition to the hard-hitting action of the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 sprints, Burmeister Trophy dirt trucks and USAC D2 Midgets, fans will witness the heavy-metal mayhem of full-sized school busses battling it out on the clay oval. This "First Responders Night," presented by Construction Equipment, promises to be one of the most entertaining nights of the summer for families.
