FREMONT, Ohio – Heavy winds – with gusts up to 40 miles per hour – coupled with a forecast calling for cold temperatures and periods of rain throughout the day and evening – have forced the cancellation of races at Fremont Speedway for Saturday, Oct. 3.

It is the third year in a row the race featuring the Mo Vaughn Transportation Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series has been lost due to weather.

Fremont Speedway’s 2015 season has now come to an end.

“It was a challenging year dealing with Mother Nature, but we are so very appreciative of the fans, our marketing partners and race teams for their support on an outstanding year. We look forward to 2016,” said Rich Farmer, Fremont Speedway Promoter.

The 2015 Fremont Speedway awards banquet – combined with the Kistler Racing Products Fremont Attica Sprint Title (FAST) Championship Series Presented by KS Sales and Service and the JLH General Contractor FAST Championship Series Presented by Engine Pro – will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Fremont American Legion Hall. The top 10 in points in all the divisions will be honored. Ticket information will be forthcoming at www.fremontohspeedway.com
