05/03/2001:
FREMONT, Oh. - Thanks to the generous support of area businesses and industries, and race fans, Fremont Speedway is able to increase its purse for the 2001 season. The main focus of the added purse money is the finishing positions 10-20 in the 410 sprints along with the B-Main purse, and from 6-20 in the 305 sprint feature along with the B-Main purse.
"Thanks to our sponsors and the great support of the fans, we're able to help our drivers with more money in the purse," said Fremont Speedway Promoter Jim Ford. "We wanted to put the added money in positions that reward these teams for coming to race very week."
