| Late
afternoon thunderstorm brings halt to FAST Fremont action
Saturday, July 23, 2011
FREMONT, Ohio – Thunderstorms
that dumped over three inches of rain on the Fremont area Friday night
and Saturday morning, returned just as the race teams were getting set
to fire their motors on July 23, causing the cancellation of the racing
on Burns Petroleum Night at Fremont Speedway.
Track crews worked throughout
the morning in the heat and humidity to get the racing surface in shape,
but Mother Nature had other plans.
Fremont Speedway will be
back in action on Saturday, July 30 for a Kistler Racing Products Fremont
Attica Sprint Title Championship event for the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410
Sprints on Kistler Engines Night. The Fremont Federal Credit Union 305
Sprints and Fremont Fence & Guardrail Dirt Trucks will also be in competition.
