FINDLAY, Ohio – The nights
are getting cooler and the days are getting shorter. That means one thing
– dirt track racing at Millstream Speedway!
The Flag City’s high speed
dirt track will host one of the final races in Ohio for 2010 on Sunday,
Oct. 3 as the fire-breathing 410 sprints, ultra-competitive 305 sprints
and wheel-hiking ground-pounding super late models come to do battle.
“The fans in the Findlay
area have been very supportive of our efforts to bring racing back to Millstream.
We will continue to work hard to accomplish that goal,” said promoter Rich
Farmer.
Before you know it, snow
will blanket the Buckeye State, and Sunday’s racing at the historic speedplant
offers race fans one last opportunity to enjoy the excitement and create
memories that will last them until spring.
The previous race at Millstream
was the third night of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek on June 20. Hartford,
Ohio’s Dale Blaney, a three-time All Star Circuit of Champions titlist,
picked up the victory over area hot shoes Phil Gressman, Lee Jacobs and
Greg Wilson. Wilson put on a great charge from his 12th starting spot.
The sprint cars must run
a Goodyear right rear tire only.
The 410 and 305 sprints will
compete for the same purse that Fremont Speedway pays on a regular show
while the late models will compete for the same purse Attica Raceway Park
pays on a regular show.
Gates will open Sunday, Oct.
3 at noon with racing underway at 3 p.m.
General admission is $15
for adults and $10 for students. Pit passes are $30.
