FREMONT, Ohio - Off and on rain showers coupled with falling temperatures
and windy conditions prompted Fremont Speedway officials to call of racing
for Saturday, May 16.

"It looks like we'd get some races in then it might rain. Then it is
supposed to get windy, blowing right into the fans' faces and it's supposed
to get colder. We didn't want to put the fans and teams through that," said
Fremont Speedway Promoters Andy James and Rich Farmer.

"We appreciate all the efforts of our employees and Roots Poultry and look
forward to having them back later on this year as a race night sponsor,"
added the speedway promoters.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, May 23 as the O'Reilly All
Star Circuit  of Champions make their first appearance at "The Track That
Action Built" on Kear's Speed Shop Night. The Fremont Federal Credit Union
305 Sprints and vintage race cars will be in action. Gates open at 4 p.m.
with racing at 7 p.m.
