FREMONT, Ohio - Todd Heuerman used a great restart following a late race
caution to drive around Bill Kraylek and to on to the biggest sprint car win
of his career - a $2,500 payday in the All Pro Cylinder Heads 305 Sprint
Invitational at Fremont Speedway Sunday night.

Heuerman used a restart following a lap 17 caution to pass Kraylek on the
outside exiting turn four for the lead. He then picked his way perfectly
through lapped traffic to take his fourth career victory at "The Track That
Action Built."

"I would get a run on him and then the caution would come out. Then he would
pull away. I knew I had to change something so I drove it in harder in turns
three and four and that got me going," said Heuerman in the Engine Pro
Victory Lane beside his Schroeder Masonry, Dale's Concrete, Sam Gerdeman
Trucking backed sprint car.

Bellevue's Mike Bores also used a restart to drive around Jeremy Canada and
then hold off Wayne Maffett Jr. to score his second career Fremont win - and
the second of the season - in the Attica Late Model's feature.

"Rich (Farmer) and Andy (James) gave us a great race track. My hat's off to
Jeremy Canada, Wayne Maffett, Ryan Missler...those guys race you hard and
clean," said Bores in the Engine Pro Victory Lane beside his JB & Sons
Contracting, York Fabrication, Underground Utilities backed late model.

Castalia's Dan Hennig moved from asphalt racing to dirt this year, and it
paid off, as he took the lead on the third lap and went on to claim his
first career victory in his rookie season in the Fremont Fence Dirt Trucks.

"Racing on the dirt is a lot different than asphalt. There's tougher drivers
here and it demands more from the driver," said Hennig beside his Reidy's
Body Shop, York Fabrication, Jeffery Lettering backed truck. "I just had to
concentrate and hit my marks. I have to thank all the drivers in the truck
division...they have been so helpful this season."

At the drop of the green in the 30-lap feature for the Fremont Federal
Credit Union 305 Sprints, Brad Bowman jumped into the lead with Coty Runion,
Kraylek, Heuerman and Jake Trevino in tow. A yellow would soon fly for
Runion and Dustin Keegan. Bowman would lead the second lap before the yellow
would fly again when Paige Polyak drove over Nate Dussel, sending the later
pitside.

On the restart, Kraylek would drive under Bowman for the lead with Heuerman,
Trevino and Zack Kramer rounding out the top five. The yellow would fly
again on lap five for a Brad Haudenschild spin. Following another lap,
another caution for D.J. Foos, then another lap and another caution for
another Haudenschild spin, then another lap and another yellow for Duane
Zablocki.

Then the race found a groove with Kraylek and Heuerman battling for the lead
while Bowman and Kramer raced hard for third. The final caution would fly on
lap 17 just as the leaders were hitting lapped traffic. It could have
spelled disaster for Kraylek, as three cars got together right in front of
the him...he spun but did a couple of 360s to keep going and hold his lead.

Heuerman made his winning move on the ensuing restart. Kramer would get
around Kraylek for second on lap 19. The car on the move was Kevin Lee, who
moved from his 14th starting spot to fourth by lap 19. He and Kraylek
battled the next 10 laps for third before Lee would take the position on the
white flag.

At the checkered it was Heuerman, Kramer, Lee, Kraylek and Steve Rando
rounding out the top five. Lee earned a new crankshaft from Callie's
Performance as the race hard-charger gaining 11 positions in the feature
event.

In the 20-lap late model feature, Jeremy Canada jumped into the early lead
with Jim Fleming pressuring while Bores, Ernie Haynes, Steve Sabo and Ryan
Missler battled for third. Bores would move into second on the second lap
and would race side-by-side with Canada for the lead the next five laps
before the caution would fly for a Noah Wagner spin.

Another lap and another caution later, Bores would make his winning move on
a restart, driving to the outside of Canada for the lead on lap nine. The
car on the move was Wayne Maffett Jr., moving from seventh to second by lap
11. The final cautions would fly on laps 11 and 12, with Bores getting a
great restart to pull away from Maffett who had been driving beside him on
the bottom.

Maffett would slip up on lap 14, allowing Ryan Missler to grab the second
spot. Steve Sabo would move into third a lap later.

Bores would take the checkered over Missler, Sabo, Maffett and Jeff McCoy.

Rookie Will Tezak would take the lead at the drop of the green for the
20-lap dirt truck feature with Paul Brown Jr., Loren Schwochow and Hennig in
tow. Brown would exit with a flat tire a lap later while Hennig would drive
around Schowochow for second. Hennig would take the lead on the third
circuit right before the caution would fly for a Bob Dible Spin.

Hennig could not shake Tezak and a closing Steve Endicott on the restart.
Endicott would grab second on lap 7 while the truck on the move was 12th
starter Cory Ward who had moved into third by lap 11. Hennig and Endicott
would battle side-by-side from lap 7 through lap 14 when the caution flew
for a Ward spin.

On the restart Hennig would pull away slightly from Endicott who had his
hands full with Jim McGrath. Hennig would take the checkered over Endicott,
McGrath, Jim Keegan and Jimmy McGrath Jr.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 6, as Ohio CAT
presents the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions in a 50-lap $5,000 to
win thriller. The 305 sprints and dirt trucks will also be in action.
