FREMONT, Ohio - Current Fremont
Speedway promoters Andy James and Rich
Farmer have signed a three-year
contract with the Sandusky County
Agricultural Society to
promote racing events at the historic fairground.
James and Farmer took over
the remaining year of former promoter Jim Ford's
contract for the 2008 season.
The new deal leaves the current promotional
team in place through 2011
with options for more years.
"We are excited to sign this
contract and we vow to continue working to put
on entertaining, exciting
events for the loyal fans and race teams," said
Farmer and James. "We plan
to continue working with the fair board to
implement improvements to
the facility and continue to make the speedway and
fairgrounds a family-friendly
place."
"We have gotten tremendous
support this year from the fans, teams and
sponsors...I just can't
say enough about how good they have made us feel in
our first year here," said
Farmer.
"This town....these fans....are
so supportive of this race track. Fremont
Speedway is the capital
of racing in Ohio. Wit the help of the fans, teams
and business partners and
the great employees we have we will continue to
put Fremont Speedway on
the map," added James.
