FREMONT, Ohio - FREE ADMISSION!
That's right, race fans can
come out to Fremont Speedway Sunday, April 13,
to watch area drivers fine-tune
their race cars on an open practice
afternoon and admission
to the grandstands will be $0!
Drivers in the Fort Ball
Pizza Palace 410 Sprints; Fremont Federal Credit
Union 305 Sprints; and Fremont
Fence & Guardrail Dirt Trucks are invited to
"The Track That Action Built"
for a "test and tune" day. Gates will open at
3 p.m. and drivers will
have access to the track until dusk.
There is a $10 pits fee.
The concession stands will also be open, so dad and
mom, bring the kids out
for an affordable, entertaining day of fun.
"Since we're expecting several
new, young drivers in all the divisions this
year, we wanted to give
them a chance to get some laps before the pressure
of opening night," said
Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer. "And, it
gives our track personnel
a chance to work out the bugs before opening night
so we can make sure our
fans are taken care of."
Fremont Speedway opens for
its 57th year of racing on Saturday, April 19, on
Pepsi Night with the 410
sprints, 305 sprints and dirt trucks in action.
Gates will open at 4 p.m.
with racing heating up at 7 p.m. Admission will be
$12 for adults; $10 for
senior citizens; teens 11-16 years of age for $6;
and kids 10 and under are
free. Pit passes will be $25.
Fremont Speedway is located
at the corner of Rawson Ave. and North Street,
just south of the U.S.20
bypass and Ohio Turnpike Exit 91 in the historic
Sandusky County Fairgrounds.
