Speedway to remember its past July 14

FREMONT, Ohio (Sunday, July 8, 2007) -
Fremont Speedway has a long, rich
racing tradition over its 56 years in
existence. "The Track That Action
Built" will pay tribute to those who helped
mold that great reputation on
Saturday, July 14 during the Fort Ball
Pizza Palace Presents the Fremont Old
Timers Night.
Not only will the Fremont Federal Credit
Union 305 Sprints and the Fremont
Fence Dirt Trucks be in action, there
will be a display of vintage race
machines under the historic covered grandstands.
Also, over 50 retired Fremont Speedway
drivers are expected to be in
attendance, including former track champions
George Fosco, Harold McGilton,
Darl Harrison, Rollie Beale, John Auxter,
Jim Linder, Johnny Beaber, Randy
Ford, Kenny Clark, Jerry Creeger, Bob
Sears Jr., Jim Ward, L.J. Connors,
Chris Kiser along with racers Paul Strasser,
Bob Knoll, Clay Kiem, Jerry
Nemire, Don Friend, Randy Curlis, Darl
Brown, Gary Willey, Dan Willey,
George Miller, Jim Missler, Jack Moore,
Doug Ludwig, Kevin Ludwig, Bill
Waite, Harry Kresser, Ed Christman, Larry
Smith, Jon Bauer, Jim Ford,
Richard Miller, Gary Stromhm, Fred Wolf,
John Cook and more.
Admission will be only $5 for adults with
kids 10 and under free. Fort Ball
Pizza will be only $1 per slice.
Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with racing
action at 7:30 p.m.
