Fremont Speedway
rained out
By Brian Liskai
FREMONT, Ohio (Saturday, May 13, 2006) - Rains throughout Friday and
early Saturday, with more precipitation forecast throughout the day have
forced the cancellation of racing at Fremont Speedway for Saturday, May
13.
The night's sponsor - Brubaker Auctions, Vicki Brubaker Auctioneer
- has been moved to Aug. 5. The make-up features for the Coors Light Dirt
Trucks that were scheduled for May 13, will now be run Saturday, May 27.
"The Track That Action Built" will race again Saturday, May 20, with
Root's Poultry as the night's sponsor. The program features the third annual
SOD 360/305 Sprint Challenge, along with the 410 sprints. The challenge
is knotted up, with the tough 305 sprints taking the opening round when
Brian Smith bested 84 combined SOD 360 sprints and 305 sprints. Last year,
the 360 sprints took revenge as Tim Hunter bested the combined 69 car field.
Race fans will also get a bargain at the concession stand as Root's
famous shredded chicken sandwiches will cost you only $1!
Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with racing slated for 7:30 p.m. For more
