FREMONT, Ohio (Sept. 14) - Heavy thunderstorms struck just prior to the opening of the gates at Fremont Speedway Saturday, forcing the cancellation of the season-ending ALMS Late Models show.

There is no make-up date for the race, thus ending "The Track That Action Built's" 51st season of racing.

Congratulations to track champions John Ivy (410 sprints); Bryan Scott (by 1 point in the 305 sprint division); and Steve Sabo (by 6 points in the dirt truck division). All three are repeat champions from 2001.

The top 10 in points in all three divisions will be fetted at a banquet on Saturday, Nov. 9 at PK's Banquet Hall in Fremont. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased by phoning the track office at 419-862-2206.
