53rd YEAR
More Money Up For Grabs At Fremont Speedway

By Brian Liskai

FREMONT, Ohio (Feb. 22, 2005) - Drivers in the 410 and 305 sprint divisions will have an opportunity to earn more money throughout 2005 at Fremont Speedway.

Fremont Federal Credit Union has signed on as the Fast Time Award sponsor for the 410 sprints. Each fast time during the 16 non-sanctioned 410 shows will be worth $100 from Fremont Federal Credit Union.

Fremont Speedway - for the unsanctioned shows - uses a one-lap qualifying run to determine how the heat races are lined up for the 410 sprints.

Drivers in the 305 sprints will once again compete for the $5,000 305 Computer Man Dash Championship. The dash will pit the winners of each 305 sprint heat race along with a provisional which will be the driver who pulled the highest pill draw who qualifies for the A-main through his/her heat.

Each week's dash will award the following points: 10 for the winner; 8 for second; 7 for third; and 6 for fourth and fifth. Passing points will also be awarded in the dash. The dash will pay $40 to win; $30 for second and $20 for the remaining finishing positions.

At the end of the season, the driver with the most points will win $700, with second taking home $550, third earning $400, fourth, $350 and fifth taking home $250.

The Computer Man Dash series heat races are sponsored by Fremont Federal Credit Union, Riverside Machine & Tool, Foster Auto Body and Real Geese.
