FREMONT, Ohio - Fremont Speedway, "The Track That Action Built," has announced a bigger purse structure in all three divisions for the 2004 season.
 
In the 410 sprint feature, finishing positions 3 through 11 will see an increase payoff from 2003. Feature events (other than specials) will pay $2,500 to win; $1,400 for second; $1,025 for third; $825 for fourth; and $700 for fifth. The rest of the 410 sprint A-main payoff is:
6th - $600
7th - $500
8th - $450
9th - $425
10th - $400
11th - $350
12th - $300
13th - $275
14th - $260
15th - $250
16th - $240
17th - $235
18th - $230
19th - $225
20th - $220
 
The 305 sprints will see a payoff increase for finishing positions 6-14. The A-main will pay $500 to win; $350 for second; $280 for third; $220 for fourth; and $210 for fifth. The rest of the A-main payoff is:
 
6th - $210
7th - $200
8th - $190
9th - $180
10th - $170
11th - $160
12th - $150
13th - $140
14th - $130
15th - $120
16th - $120
17-20th - $110
 
The Coors Light Dirt Truck Division will also see an increase in the payoff for A-main finishing positions 5th-10th and 17th-20th. The A-main feature winner will earn $300; second will take home $200; third, $150; fourth, $125; and fifth, $110. The rest of the A-main payoff is:
6th - $100
7th - $90
8th - $85
9th - $80
10th - $80
11th-12th - $75
13th-14th - $70
15th-16th - $60
17th-20th - $55
 
"We're able to do this because the fans, sponsors, drivers and car owners have been so good to us. Fremont Speedway is in the top five in purse money for a weekly show in the nation...we're proud of that," said promoter Jim Ford. "We decided to put a little more money back in the finishing order...there can only be one winner each night, and the others need to make a little money. Hopefully this will help them come back each week."
 
Of course, there are special shows throughout the season that offer even larger purses. 
 
Fremont Speedway kicks off its 53rd year of racing on Saturday, April 24.
