FREMONT, Ohio (July 19, 2003) - Mark Keegan has been struggling the past
year and a half, but he put those bad memories behind him Saturday at
Fremont Speedway on Schiets Motors, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki Night. Keegan led
all 30 laps of the non-stop feature to claim his 56th career feature win at
Fremont Speedway leaving him just two shy of tying Jim Linder for third on
the all-time career feature win list.

"Boy, it's so tough to win one of these any more. These young kids can
really mash on the gas and it makes it tough for old guys like me," said
Keegan who hails from Fremont. "Luck has a lot to do with winning in this
sport any more. You have to have everything come together. I have to thank
Willie and Adam Steinbreck and my whole crew for not giving up on me."

Behind Keegan was fifth place starter David Harrison of Fremont,
Gibsonburg's Craig Mintz, a rookie, Byron Reed, who started 11th, and
Fremont's Mike Linder.

Jamie Miller took the lead from Jerrid Potter on the second lap of the 305
sprint feature and went on to score his four feature win of the season in
the non-stop 25 lap main. Fellow Fostorian Bill Kraylek finished second with
Scott Miller, Caleb Griffith and Steve Edwards rounding out the top five.

The dirt truck feature looked like a repeat of last week, as Bobby Davis was
cruising for his second straight win, only to have his motor go sour with
two laps to go. Defending track champion Steve Sabo and Woodville's Danny
Roepke battled side by side the remaining two laps, with Roepke getting
sideways out of turn four for the checkered, handing the win to Sabo, his
second of the season. Roepke, Gibsonburg's Andy Maynard, Scott Endicott and
Bob Dible rounded out the top five.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, July 26. It will be kids'
night at the speedway, with 10 bikes to be given away, along with a clown
and other events for the kids.
