Posts Big Purse, Big Give-aways

FREMONT, Ohio (July 18, 2003) - The Chuck Kear Memorial - Fremont 50
to be run on Saturday, Aug. 2 at Fremont Speedway will not only contain
a big purse for the 410 sprints, but over $8,500 in manufacturers' give-aways
to the 22 cars making the feature.
The Chuck Kear Memorial 50-lap feature is run in honor of Kear's
Speedshop founder. The A-main winner will pocket $5,000. It is a rich purse,
with 10th spot paying $1,000 and 22nd paying $500! Associate sponsors for
the night are Steinle Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadillac, GMC.
In addition to the purse, Kear's Speedshop and Fremont Speedway have
put together an impressive manufacturers' give-away list for the A-main
starters (random draw) including:
- A $500 gift certificate from Kistler Engines
- A $500 gift certificate from Racequip
- A power steering pump from KSE valued at $485
- An inboard brake assembly and right rear brake assembly from Wilwood
valued at $475
- A 17 x 5 right rear wheel with lock and cover ($425 value) and a
14 x 5 left rear wheel with lock ($395 value) from Sander Engineering
- A direct mount hub set fro MPD valued at $390
- Two tube, collar, ball and adopter, each valued at $340, from Diversified

The 305 sprints will also be on the card that night, with their A-main

Mufflers are required for both divisions and the Fremont Speedway Goodyear
right rear spec tire in needed for the 410 sprints.
Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 2, with qualifying set for 6:15
